The Transformation

In another life I might have been a watermelon, the fruit that grows close to the ground and leaves absolutely nothing to chance in the summer.  Its a fabulous fabulous fruit and requires lots of sun and lots of water and lots of nutrient, and yet they are not difficult to grow.  There are the water melons which have stripes on them and there are the others which grow with darker shades and no stripes.  Willy Watermelon had been particularly greedy, he had wanted to acquire everything without really giving anything in return.  Almost like the heartbreaker who would takes hearts without ever giving his love.  Why did he have to be heartbreaker, I wonder, maybe because there was a little something in his heart that was stoney, cold as stone, and frosty as ice.

When Willy Watermelon was young there were a million of admirers to tell him how good he was and how much they loved him.  All waiting to usurp anything he even chanced them to have a glimpse of, there would have been times when he would open his wallet and there would be like people just waiting to take anything he showed them.  Willy was a straight forward, down-to-earth good looking guy and yet as he grew older he came to be known as Wiley Willy.  There are a numerous methods he applied to fight back his detractors, and one of his favourite techniques came to be known as the Wiley Cut.

The days of the Raj had long gone by, now what remained of him was his past glory, his ability to counterattack and the gentleman he was, the ability to convince and cajole people towards the correct path.  So Willy thought, hey why not get into marketing, after all he was already a pro at selling mangoes, and marketing is nothing but selling yourself.   He convinced a friend of his, the "Classic Beatle" to take up the cause of marketing themselves, after all it was a fine combination, the classic car to cart the classic fruit.  Fantastic as they would say, was the idea of getting into a trade that allowed you to make money on the basis what precious thought you held in your mind.  It was nothing afterall then convincing the people who had money to the thought of parting with it, after all what good was money if it was not being spent to buy happiness.  "Ahhh" said the beatle, "so we are in the business of creating happiness and selling it ? ".  Prompt came Willy's reply "yes maam, if you allow me I will show you how"
She loves me yea yea yea .. :-)
